Malini Murmu was like any other teenager. If anything she was a combination of terrific smarts and very good looks. Needless to say this IIM-B student was very popular too. She had 700+ friends on her Facebook page. One of them was Abhishek Dhanu, with whom she was very evidently in love with. Yesterday Abhishek and she had an argument and in a fit of post-teenage whimsicalness, Abhishek and IIT Rourkee student posted that “I have dumped my girlfriend” on his Facebook page.

A hurt and heartbroken Malini, decided to teach Abhishek a lesson – by hanging herself to death. As this message is being posted IIM-B students are holding a vigil mourning her death. Leading psychiatrists have blasted this social media culture of confusing friends and acquaintances and said that family should be the bond on which relationships are built. Relationship experts are warning teenagers of too much social media exposure and are asking parents to keep a watch on the web behaviour of their children.
