Chandrababu Naidu Ready to face any inquiry

Visakhapatnam, Aug 24: TDP president Chandrababu Naidu said he was ready to face any inquiry over allegations of corruption levelled against him by YSR Congress party president Jaganmohan Reddy and others.

On the allegations of having a Swiss bank account and a hotel in Singapore, Naidu said if anyone proves the charges he will donate all those assets to them. “Twenty two inquiries have been ordered and nine petitions filed against me during YSR regime, but nothing has been proved,” he said.He promised that he would not give tickets to candidates having criminal background or to those having criminal cases pending against them. He said corruption is like a cancer spreading fast in the nation and urged the youth to come forward to wipe out the menace.

Interacting with the students of an engineering college at Duvvada, Naidu called upon the youth to join in large numbers in the anti-corruption movement. He said: “We are living in a society that is heavily influenced by money in elections. If the youth come forward to fight against this, I would extend my full support to their movement.”

When students asked him as to why he has not resigned in support of Anna Hazare’s agitation, Naidu said resignations were not the answer as they put heavy burden on the people if elections are to be held again.
