Sreenu Vaitla has been the favourite of 14 Reels Entertainment, the banner which has decided to stick to him after their first film ‘Namo Venkatesa’ with him starring Venkatesh and Trisha. Out of around 15 movies by Sreenu Vaitla it’s very difficult to find a film that has not fetched atleast an average result. It is either he is lucky or his films are with a specialty focusing on entertainment and action. Mahesh Babu has spared with Srinu Vaitla for the first time and there seems to be certain emotional cord between these two with Mahesh Babu openly declaring his gratitude for Srinu Vaitla's doing this film titled 'Dookudu'.

As regards this story it’s about a youth who has his two feet firmly on the ground looking for practical solutions, long term in nature. Due to his focus and capability he achieves what he wants and at the same time his easy going nature would set an example for present generation.
For Mahesh, the style and looks are in-built and not to say of actions. This character is rightly designed for him which is further glorified with the presence of Samantha and Dr Brahmanandam. Of course Srinu Vaitla’s movie making style will add the necessary ingredients to portray Mahesh’s true value. Srinu Vaitla’s style of having Brahmu’s presence in each and every frame alongside the hero seems to be repeating in this film also. Is he by any chance the lucky mascot?

‘Ye Maya Chesave’ and ‘Brindavanam’ have brought out the best from a new comer Samantha. She has mesmerized the audience with her best performance which is found to be natural. Though looking like a girl next door some attraction separates her from the rest. Her pairing with Mahesh is been seen as a good combination.

Mahesh Babu’s movies are known for high quality cinematography. This time the unit has chosen K V Guhan who did already worked in Mahesh’s movies like ‘Naani’ and ‘Athadu’.

Now coming to locations though Hyderabad has played a major part, Mumbai, Dubai, Istanbul and Switzerland have also contributed significantly with picturesque locations. Particularly Switzerland has been chosen for songs while other locations for actions. This apart the special attraction of the film is an item song by Parvathy Melton.

The upcoming music director Thaman, who has churned out good results in the movies starring Ravi Teja, NTR, Nagarjuna, Ram, etc., has for the first time signed Sreenu Vaitla’s film. Even with Mahesh, this is his first attempt. Thaman has a very special style in giving beat songs attracting masses. He has already given his print through title song which is rocking.

Mahesh Babu has been searching for a success formula after his blockbuster ‘Pokiri’. Since he took a decision to do less number of films with an intention to maintain quality, the opportunity to churn out more number of films also could not materialize. Thus after ‘Pokiri’ whatever he had done have not achieved the desired results. Now with ‘Dookudu’ with a tagline 'Daring and Dashing', there is a strong expectation that he might make it big like ‘Pokiri’. The movie releasing on September 23rd is expected to hit theaters worldwide much to the expectations of Krishna’s and Mahesh Babu’s fans.
