Prabhas’ upcoming film Rebel might be postponed to summer of 2012. The film was being planned for release in January, 2012 and the shooting was going as per the schedule. However, there are unconfirmed reports emerging on the web and forums that the director of the film, Raghava Lawrence has fallen ill and will be out of action for few weeks. His sudden illness has in turn affected the shooting of Rebel which stars Prabhas, Tamannaah and Deeksha Seth. The shooting will resume once Lawrence recovers completely and the film is now expected to hit the screens in summer.

Rebel is being produced by J. Bhagwan and J. Pulla Rao under the banner of Sri Balaji Cine Media.Thaman is scoring the music for this movie. Krishnam Raju is playing the role of Prabhas’s father. Kelly Dorji, Shayaji Shinde, Jayaprakash Reddy, Chalapathi Rao, Brahmanandam, Ali and M.S. Narayana are essaying important roles.
