Eros International, which is co-producing Rajinikanth’s upcoming film Rana, has refuted rumours that the film has been shelved. Over the past few weeks, there have been reports and also rumours that Rajinikanth is recovering pretty well and will be ready to shoot for Rana which is a period drama. However, last week, a rumour had taken the whole Tamil film industry and millions of Rajinikanth’s fans by storm that the film has been shelved.
If the grapevine is to be believed, apparently, Rajinikanth and KS Ravikumar, the director of the film, had decided to drop the project since it would involve lot of action scenes which might again take a heavy toll on Rajinikanth’s health. However, Eros International has stated that the film is still on and it’ll go on floors towards the end of the year.
Recently, Rajinikanth was spotted jogging near his house in Poes Garden, Chennai and even posed for camera when a group of security guards requested him for pictures with them. Rajinikanth is supposed to do triple roles in the film and Deepika Padukone is part of the film. However, with such constant delays, even her presence in the film will be under scanner since she’s quite busy with her Bollywood film assignments these days.
