
Asha Bhosle, who has been voice of several hit musical numbers in different languages, has earned a special mentioned in the prestigious Guinness Record.
The legendary singer has entered the Guinness World Records and was awarded a certificate for the most studio recordings (singles) for recording up to 11,000 solo, duet and chorus backed songs and in over 20 Indian Languages since 1947. She was conferred with this honour at the Asian awards function held in London.
Think Asha and the songs which crosses one's mind are - Piya Tu Ab To Aaja, Chura Liya Hai Tumne, Dum Maaro Dum - and many others, all of which are still in rage. Thrilled over the achievement, Asha thanked her fans for their immense love and supported. She extended special thanks to Vishwas Nerurkar, the man behind who helped her to get this honour by doing immense research and giving accurate information to Guinness Book.
Asha Bhosle who continues to challenge herself anew will soon be making her big screen acting debut in the Hindi feature film 'Maaee' which is complete and ready for release. She quoted, "Aur mein aapne chahanewalo ko kehna chahungi ke aapka pyar mereliye iisi tarha se barkarar rahein aur jis tarha aapne mere gaano ko pyaar kiya hai ushi tarha meri acting (Hindi film 'Maaee') ko bi aapka pyar aur ashirwad miley".
The film is co-produced by Subhash Dawar of Alliance Entertainment and Nitin Shankar of Rythm D'vine Entertainment Pvt Ltd and is directed by Mahesh Kodiyal.
