7am Arivu is getting big and bold. The Murugadoss-directed flick starring Surya has created enough hype and anxiety among film-lovers for it chronicles the journey of Bodhidharma, a Pallava prince who travelled all the way from Kanchipuram to China and became a Buddhist monk.
Says Surya, 'It is a take-off of history, that of Bodhi Dharma, a Buddhist monk who hailed from Kanchipuram. Son of a Pallava king in the 6th century, he later became a monk and preached the teachings of Buddha'.
The flick has been given a U certificate by the censor board. It is expected to release with 1000 prints across the world on Deepavali day.
