Speaking to a leading regional radio channel, Dhookudu director Srinu Vaitla expressed confidence that his team had the backing of a great storyline and script for Dhookudu. The ace director said that the producer’s money was well spent in bringing visual vibrancy to the story. He said, much before the shooting commenced Mahesh & he went through numerous iterations of screenplay and added that the eye for detail will reflect in the screen. The director also added that every member in the unit focussed on bringing out a good product.

The director dismissed fears that over expectations will harm the film and said that it was but natural that Mahesh’s movies will have over expectations. He also praised heroine Samantha for the effort she put in her dance steps and said that the Chennai girl has done a tremendous job. Regarding Mahesh’s picturization the director said, it will be a literal feast for the eyes. The characterization of Mahesh, the director said has tremendous momentum to it and signed off by saying there will never be a dull moment in the film.
