King Akkineni Nagarjuna is working for a very expensive socio fantasy flick titled Damarukam. The movie is currently being filmed on a special set erected at Annapoorna Studios and industry sources inform us that the movie will proceed to Karnataka in a few days for some crucial scenes.

The movie would be shot in some of the ancient temples that dot the Andhra Karnataka border. Damarukam has King Nagarjuna in the lead role and Anushka is the heroine. The movie involves some heavy graphics work and no expense is being spared to make the movie visually and technically superior. The movie is reportedly about the rise of a common man from a mere mortal to a ‘God’ when he stands up to fight evil.

Director Srinivas Reddy is handling this project and the movie is being produced by R.R. Movie Makers. This is the most expensive movie in the career of Nagarjuna and is one of the eagerly awaited projects of the year.
