Remember Deva Katta’s debut film Vennela which had released back in 2005? The film starring Raja, Parvati Melton and Sharwanand was a runaway hit especially with the college goers. One of the actors, Kishore became quite famous for his role as ‘Kadhar’ and later on he became popular as Vennela Kishore. Now, he’s making his debut as a director with a sequel to Vennela. The film has been named as ‘Vennela 1 ½’ and the film’s shooting is set to begin from today.

Deva Katta sounded the clapboard, Vennela’s producer Chalapathi Manmohan switched on the camera and one of the producers of Vennela 1 ½, Vasu directed the first shot. The film is touted to be a complete entertainer. The first schedule of the film will be shot in Hyderabad till August 28 and after that the film will be shot in USA, Bangkok and Switzerland.
